The CTWC, while it's respected, has way less esport potential than a PC Guideline Tetris, that can have online, team-play, spectator mode, community building, endemic endorsement on accessories, media cover and story-building. I already said countless times than "Liquid Blink", "Fnatic z2sam" or "C9 Wumbo" is a no-brainer. I genuinely think that not only it would revitalize the competitive scene of Guideline Tetris games, but it would also give the deserved credibility to people like Blink, Wumbo, z2sam, Doremy, Aitsu, Illjain, Amemiya or Hebomai, who deserve fame and esport endorsement.

I still think if they start with PuyoTris and add multiplayer to Effect then there's an opportunity there, but a tentpole browser Tetris, plus maybe a remastered Grandmaster trilogy, will be the key to revitalize competitive modern Tetris.
